Mia Hamm
(1) Mariel Margaret also known as " Mia Hamm", a retired American professional football player and two time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women's World Cup winner is an inspiration to many others. She held the record for international goals, more than female n the history of soccer has. she is also the third most capped female player in soccer behind Kristine Lilly and Christie Rampone. on top of that, she holds the national team record for most career assists with 144.
(2) Her excellence was achieved when she was introduced to soccer in Florence, Italy and thats where her whole journey started. Throughout her young years, she played soccer in junior high and high school. she started as a forward but never scored a goal, bu then she attended Lake Braddock soccer team win the 1989 state championships.
(3) Technology could have impacted her life when she was barely a toddler and what born with clubs foot; she wore corrective shoes. I think enhancement of technology of today could have made the process of this illness cure much more faster and efficiently.
Reflection: The excellence achieved in Mia's professional life was to never give up and strive for what you love doing the most. She never knew that this hidden talent would bring her so many success in life. She had the honor to represent her country for 17 years and won the Women's World Cup in 1991 and 1999, and took Olympic gold metals in 1996 and 2004. Despite. her life as a child of moving often with her family, her brother supported her in her love for this sport that encourage her more.

Luke Aikins
(1) Luke Aikin's excellence was achieved by becoming an American professional skydiver, BASE jumper, pilot and aerial photographer.
(2) Luke Aikin's achieved this excellence by being the first person to drive from mid-tropospheric altitude and land safely without any use of a parachute and a wing suit and the second skydiver to land without using parachute.
(3) Technology may have impacted this Arete experience because when having the will to jump from a very high altitude and knowing that he could of done it with the use if a parachute, which is a type of technology that has evolved throughout time, he still went for the challenge.
(5)Reflection: I strongly believe this is an amazing example of a person reaching into becoming an Arete person because of his determination and bravery he was able to break a record that no one has ever been able to do. This teaches us that with courage anything is possible if you set your mind into it even if means it might be risky and you never know what the outcomes may be. Luke is a great example of what dedication can accomplish. It took him 180,000 times of practice, so he can get this world record of landing without a parachute completed.

Genetic Engineering
A. Genetic engineering is the modification of certain characteristics of an organism by changing its genetic material.
B. Innovation will impact the whole living world. As this innovation exceeds with time, people will want to to do this not only on humans but also on living animals to experiment.
C. This innovation might help with certain illnesses that are transmitted by human organisms into their children. With this modification illness might not even exist anymore and increase the life span of a human.
D. I honestly think this is a great innovation due to that it might improve human life, but might lead to certain problems. These certain problems might be the use of excess of this innovation that can worsen the human life when not getting what is granted. maybe you would want to change the way your baby looks and when it is delivered you won't even recognize your own child.
