Roger Bannister
(1) The excellence achieved through this Arete person was he was the first-sub-four minute mile runner. He had reached thus record with minimal training while practicing to become a junior doctor.
(2) This excellence was achieved when he became inspired by miler Sydney Wooderson's comeback in 1945. He started his running career at Oxford at the age of 17. In 1949, he improved in the 880 yards to 1:52.7 and won several mile races in 4.11. As his training grew as well as he did, he then was, on 6 1945 dyring a meet between British AAA and Oxford University and was in first place with finishing the final lap under 59 seconds.
(3) Technology was probably part of this arete experience by the use of stopwatches and tv to televise the event. Stopwatches was really important when it came to keeping track of each of the runners timing and knowing wher they need to improve on.
Reflection: I think Roger is a great example of not giving up even when he would always set himself new goals. Life is about living and learning that what roger is teaching us with his experience. All in all, Roger is a great example of what striving in life is regardless of what it can bring later.
       

RearVision Parking and App
A. This innovation is is a wireless camera and uses a smartphone as its display to help people who struggle with parallel parking.
B. This innovation will impact drivers who have trouble with parking. Anybody who is afraid of crashing into other cars and causing a problem.
C. It will solve the problems of people having accidents with even parking and having to waste more money on insurance. This type of camera will be beneficial to many people in that they know they can rely on these cameras for further experiences while driving. It might even make people more comfortable with driving without any fear.
D. I think this is a great innovation. I would strongly use this if i had problems with parking and being scared of crashing the car besides me. This innovation might cause a little problem because what if someone doesn't have a smartphone this innovation wont help them at all. It can be a problems for them because they know something is out there that can help them but they cant afford to buy it.

Mikaele Oloa
(1) The excellence achieved throughout this person was becoming the 2005 and 2006 World Fire Knife Dance Champion in Laie, HI. He is one of the youngest competitors to have ever won this title and has the capabilities to dance with up to four fire knives, which is incredible amazing!
(2) This excellence was achieved by beginning to dance at a very young age. This took lots of practice and dedication to obtain his titles. Through all this it probably took getting hurt here and there but it was for the love of his culture.
(3) Technology could have impacted this arete experience by announcing probably on air on radios and on social media so people in his community can be aware of his accomplishments. Technology could be a great source of spreading the word of someone like him that has astonishing skills.
                                   
(5) Reflection: I think this is a great example of persistent person who is willing to risk possibly his life through this skill. It also hows his pride for his culture and how he is also willing to do anything to keep it. From this arete experience I had to chance to obtain the idea that even skills like this can bring big accomplishments in your life. With practice and dedication anything is possible.

Teeth That Think 
A. This innovation consists of a superthin tooth sensor that sends an alert when it detects bacteria associated with plaque buildup, cavities or infection. This sensor will also notify your dentist, adding an extra layer of social pressure to make an appointment.
B. This innovation will impact the dentists and those people who consume the product. This sensor might make the patient a bit more on track with their teeth's health. This will possibly give the dentist more work to keep track with every ones teeth with the sensor notifications.
C. This innovation will solve the problem of patients going to the dentist regularly without an appointment because they feel like something is wrong with their teeth. This will also allow the patients to stay on task when cleansing  their teeth on a regular basis.
D. I think this is a great opportunity for people who want to stay updated with their teeth's health because it is very pivotal. This innovation will allow people to not be as worried because they know what is going on with their teeth, as well as their own dentists.

Nathan Sawaya
(1) The excellence that was achieved was that he became an award-winning artist who creates awe-inspiring works of art out of some of the most unlikely things. Sawyaya is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, recognizing his artwork and cultural achievements.
(2) This excellence was achieved by becoming the first artist to ever take LEGO into art world and is the author of two best selling books. His uniqueness of the exhibition is the first kind to focus exclusively an art medium and has broken attendance records around the globe.
(3) Technology could have possibly impacted this arete experience because maybe Sawyaya used a computerized program to design and figure what must go where before actually building the model out of legos. Technology has enhanced this idea of blooming new things and this is possibly one of them.

(5) Reflection: I honestly think this is a great example of being successful in your own unique way. He us earned a top position in the world of contemporary art and has created a new dimension by merging Pop Art and this is all due to his passion of designing unique things. As in the images you can see how proud he feels to have build and designed this figures out of legos.

Social Media via the Internet
   A. Social networking service is a type of online platform that is used by people to build social networks or social relations with other people with different type of connections.
   B. This innovation has impacted the whole world. This platform has allowed many people to not loose contact. It allows people to have the chance to develop online social networks that has lead to bigger connections as well.
  C. The problems it has solved was the lack of communication between people across the world. with social networking you can contact almost anyone you want. This has allowed people to grow stronger connections between one another.
D. I think so far this innovation has been great. This innovation has impacted my life in so many ways that now I can talk to any family member I would like to despite of distance. It has gave me the chance to never loose contact with them because I know they'll be there.

Blown to Bits: Chapter 3 Summary
In this chapter I had the chance to learn how documents in their impacts when being exposed on the social media. Nowadays, one simple post can derive so many ideas as when the U.S. produced a 42 page report on the incident with Italy, exonerating the U.S. soldiers. Until when an Italian blogger posted the full text which disclosed positions if allied troops and other information of the enemy. This was very dangerous to the U.S government as well as embarrassing for having a U.S citizen do this. Both paper documents and electronic documents are useful, but can also be inspected, copied, and stored. Electronic documents can be easily changed but paper documents say all the truth.

Alex Hattori
(1) Alex's excellence achieved was becoming the yo-yo king at the age of 15. He even has his own sponsor, that contains his own trading cards and his own line of yo-yo's which sell for $57 and $107.
(2) This excellence was achieved by when he picked up his first yo-yo four years ago when a group of his middle school friends sneaked some on campus and were playing with them at lunchtime. Ever since then he credits his yo-yoing mentors for helping him in the skills he copes today.
(3) Technology has impacted this arete experience by allowing him be all over the internet for his skills. Also, the fact that he sells these supplies online incorporate some time of uploading into the web.

(5) Reflection: This arete experience is a great example of what doing what you love can lead to. The fact that he never imagined this little toy can lead to him becoming so big is astonishing. At this age being able to be like him is amazing because he now even owns his own collection to sell to other kids. This teaches me to pursue anything that I want and to dedicate as much into to it to obtain what I want.
