(1) Alex's excellence achieved was becoming the yo-yo king at the age of 15. He even has his own sponsor, that contains his own trading cards and his own line of yo-yo's which sell for $57 and $107.
(2) This excellence was achieved by when he picked up his first yo-yo four years ago when a group of his middle school friends sneaked some on campus and were playing with them at lunchtime. Ever since then he credits his yo-yoing mentors for helping him in the skills he copes today.
(3) Technology has impacted this arete experience by allowing him be all over the internet for his skills. Also, the fact that he sells these supplies online incorporate some time of uploading into the web.
(5) Reflection: This arete experience is a great example of what doing what you love can lead to. The fact that he never imagined this little toy can lead to him becoming so big is astonishing. At this age being able to be like him is amazing because he now even owns his own collection to sell to other kids. This teaches me to pursue anything that I want and to dedicate as much into to it to obtain what I want.
