Carl & Margaret Karcher
(1) Margaret Karcher's excellence was achieved by becoming the co-founder of the Carl's Jr. hamburger chain with her husband Carl Karcher.
(2) Carl's and Margaret Karcher's excellence started when they started their first business which was a hot dog stand, on July 17, 1941 in Los Angeles. California. After they borrowed $311 against their Plymouth automobile and added $15 from Margarets purse, they then sold hot dogs and Mexican tamales. On January 16. 1945, they opened their first restaurant, Carl's Drive-In Barbecue in Anaheim, California. Their restaurants quickly grew numbering 100 by 1974 and more than 300 by 1981.
(3) Technology may have impacted this Arete experience but not much in reality. As of today companies like Carl's Jr. have expanded to a whole new level. Starting off with their structures that have changed and this is through the use of architecture that may imply some type of technology today to build these companies a certain way.

(5) Reflection: I think this an amazing example of two successful people who started really from scratch. They started off through something small and now is something so big that you see everywhere that you go. This teaches us that with termination and the willing to become something big later on. This family was willing to give it all to now become one of the most known fast food restaurants.
